New York Destination Imagination State Finals Tournament Results

Destination Imagination congratulates all the students who participated in the Affiliate tournament. We think you are all winners!

Teams emphasized as such are going on to the next level of competition.

Special Awards are listed within the scores for the Challenge where given and highlighted.

We want to make the opportunity to advance available to as many teams as possible – but will not create an unlevel playing field by use of wildcards.

Wildcards are meant as an opporutnity, however, it is ultimately up to the team to determine if they will accept the opportunity if it is offered.

Here are the WILDCARD RULES that the NY-DI Board established for how wildcard teams are selected in 2011:

WILDCARD DEFINITION:

Any team whose total score is within 10 points of an advancing team AND has won (1st place) any competition portion (Central Challenge, Side Trips or Instant Challenge)

will be given the opportunity to be evaluated by a second set of Appraisers, and therefore advanced.
