New York Destination Imagination Celebrates National STEM Day with Free Challenges
Destination Imagination is a STEAM-based educational tournament that inspires young people around the world.
Croton-on-Hudson, NY โ October 28, 2024 โ In celebration of National STEM Day on November 8, Destination Imagination of New York (NYDI) is providing two complimentary mini STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) challenges that will help adults introduce the Destination Imagination program to kids in their community. These tasks encourage using teamwork, creativity, and common materials to create a unique solution to each of the challenges.
Destination Imagination helps kids in pre-K through grade 12 develop creativity, collaboration, idea generation, and problem-solving skills so they can become the innovators of the future. This video brings to life the power of the global program.
โNYDI is committed to introducing even more kids in our state to STEAM-based disciplines and National STEM Day is a great way to showcase DI and the positive impact it’s had on kids since it began 25 years ago,โ said Josh Diamond, Affiliate Director and Eastern Regional Director, NYDI. โPast participants are now the next generation of leaders, working in a diverse range of industries and making a positive impact in communities around the world.โ
Itโs easy to start a team and NYDI provides resources and one-on-one assistance to guide participants throughout the Destination Imagination experience.
