Organizational Announcement
On Jun 29, 2025, the NYDI Board of Trustees voted to appoint Martha Rosen as Eastern Regional Director, and as a Trustee.
Martha has been involved with NYDI since the early 2000’s, in various roles: Appraiser, Rising Stars Challenge Master, Team Manager, and Coordinator (for Blind Brook-Rye UFSD). She tells us she is excited to help support all of the Eastern Region’s teams as Regional Director because she loves what the program offers to children, and is always surprised by the creative solutions each team finds for their challenge.
Martha has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College. She recently retired from a 36 year career as an elementary educator, 30 of which at Blind Brook-Rye UFSD, where she taught kindergarten, fifth grade math and science, and most recently, the Young Engineers program.
