Organizational Announcement
On January 12, 2026, the NYDI Board of Trustees voted to appoint Patrice Davidson as Board Chair.
Patrice has been involved in DI since 2005, when her son Max started in the program as a 5th grader. Acting as a team manager, Patrice and Max’s team of four boys had a tremendous experience. Winning their Instant Challenge they were awarded a “Wild Card” to go to the Affiliate Competition. This was the start of the legacy of the Davidson family’s involvement with the program. All three of the Davidson children participated in the program from middle school through high school. Some of the family’s fondest memories were at the Global Competitions in Knoxville. Patrice has a managed 10 teams and was a DI coordinator in Croton DI for 6. She has remained involved as a scoring appraiser.
Patrice attended McGill University, earning a BA in Art History (with a concentration in Foreign Language). Upon graduation she moved to NYC and pivoted her interests to embark on a career in corporate real estate finance. After starting a family in Croton-on Hudson she became an avid tennis player and continues to coach at Croton Harmon High School. She resides in NYC.
Patrice steps into the role previously held jointly by Jon Brennan and Dawn DiCicco. Jon will be continuing his role as Western Regional Director, and remains a trustee. Dawn remains actively involved in our organization, but is no longer serving as a trustee. We thank both Jon and Dawn for their long service with NYDI.
